The Great Acne Killer

Applying the famous Apple Cider Vinegar to your skin will help acne you may have on your back, arms, etc..
Put two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar inside 4 cups of water. Mix. If you do not want to make so much then just mix equal parts of water and acv. Always make sure your body is clean before starting. Now, Clean your hands and Dip cotton pads inside mixture. Squeeze a little excess out the cotton pad and now apply it to your problem areas. Works great on minimizing wrinkles too. Have someone help to do your back and arms. Rinse with luke warm water and dry. Do this every night or at least 1-2 times a week.

If you have eczema, you can mix tsp of acv with a tsp of honey, tsp almond oil or sea buckthorn oil  and add tsp sugar. If its too watery, add another tsp of honey, mix and apply to face in a circular motion for a few seconds. Leave on for 5 mins.Rinse with luke warm water and pat dry.
If you are sensitive to Apple Cider Vinegar, then don’t use!!
Helps razor burn or razor bumps and when mixed with organic/virgin coconut oil, apply it to sagging skin and cellulite. Watch the difference in your skin appearance if you do this everyday for 4 weeks.

Make sure you never run out of ACV!

Primers

I have tried many Primers, but I was asked which one is my favorite. I have 2 favorites. First one is by Smashbox- Photo finish primer and the second one is just plain Aloe gel.
Before applying primer make sure your face is cleansed, toned and moisturized. Then apply Primer.
Please don't forget to remove all your make up before going to bed. Some people complain about certain products causing them acne but most of the time it is because their face is not cleansed properly before and after applying cosmetics.
Take care!

Applicators

Taking care of your skin also includes taking care of your make up brushes(tools)and anything else that will touch your skin, such as wedges, sponges, mascara wands, eye shadow brush, etc. Why is that important? Because germs live inside applicators if you do not sanitize properly.
As a professional makeup artist, I am constantly sanitizing in between clients, but it doesn't stop there. I sanitize my own applicators as well. Witch hazel is not only a great toner, but it also cleans applicator brushes. You can add some witch hazel to a paper towel and brush your applicator on it back and forth and then lay it on a dry paper towel. Make sure that you properly put the bristles back in place, which should be pressed downward so it doesn't lose its shape. Once a week you should clean all your applicators with  a gentle cleansing antibacterial soap or professional brush cleaner agent.  Sponges should be cleaned after each use. Throw away when they get worn. Using harsh detergents will cause the bristles to fall off on brushes. After cleaning them make sure you rinse with water and gently squeeze excess water out, shape brushes and lay on a dry paper towel to dry over night or you can blow dry on low or cool setting.
You should use disposable mascara wands and throw away after each use. No double dipping. Replace your mascara every 2 months. Doing this will help keep bacteria away.

Having healthy clean skin also means anything that touches it has to be just as clean!

A Soothing Bath that will Firm your Skin..

Need your arms to look tighter? Or maybe you need an overall tight look. Try this...
Get your Warm bath ready and add Epsom Salt and make a hot cup of tea and add 5 Japanese green tea bags into your mug. Soon as your tea is ready and has a nice color to it, pour it into your bath. Now get in and apply a tea bag on each eye, lay your head back and relax for 15 to 20 mins. Make sure tea bags are cooled off before applying under your eyes.
What this does...
Epsom Salt takes the toxins out of your body, while the caffeine and antioxodants from the green tea firms your skin.
How many days a week to do this?
2-3 days a week

Exfoliate

A Great way to exfoliate your skin once a week!
Blend 5 strawberries,1 tbsp of brown sugar and 1 tbsp of sugar.
Apply to face and rub gently in a circular motion. If your mask is a litle watery, add a little bit more sugar until it gets grainy.
Leave on for 10 mins, rinse, dry and moisturize as usual.
Your face will feel softer and like your looking at new skin! Which you are, thats what happens when you exfoliate.Dead skin leaves and whats under it will come out, which is smooth skin:)

Dry Legs???

We tend to get more dry than the norm during the winter months. Sometimes your lotion/cream and oils do not give you that 24 hour moisture. Make sure you use creams instead of lotion if you have dry legs. And please stop putting lotion on your face. Apply moisturizer to the face. Lotion is for your body. Your skin has different textures all over your body, so they need specific and special attention.

First squeeze one slice of lemon lime inside bowl. Removing the seeds of course. Add half a cup of coconut oil, vitamin e oil OR olive oil and lastly one and a half cup of brown sugar. MIX. Rub on legs while massaging for about 2 mins. Wipe off with paper towel. DO NOT take off in the tub because it will clog your tub and it will be very slippery.
After you exfoliate, now you can give yourself a leg treatment. Read below for ingredients.

BLEND ONE BANANA, 1/3 PINEAPPLES, 1 TABLESPOON OF HONEY (HONEY IS A NATURAL HYDRATOR.) LEAVE ON LEGS FOR 10-15 MINS. YOU CAN ENJOY ONE OF THE HOME FACIAL MASK ON THIS SITE AS WELL WHILE YOU ARE HAVING YOUR LEG TREATMENT. WHEN TIME IS UP, REMOVE WITH WET PAPER TOWELS OR WIPES. THEN RINSE AND APPLY YOUR FAVORITE BODY/LEG CREAM OR VITAMIN E OIL OR COCONUT OIL.

I LOVE using Pink lemonade fizz and cool melon kiwi cooling gel lotion by bath & body works. They both have the ingredient, Dimethcone, which is a silicone derivative. This is one of the ingredients that is used on Face primers. Silicone and Silicone Derivatives protects and softens the skin. Leaving a smooth and silky finish. After applying this lotion gel to your legs, you will absolutely LOVE IT!  No Greasy feeling. Just soft smooth legs.
Walgreens has body gels as well. I love the gels over the lotions for my legs.

Tightens and reduces..

Need to tighten your skin?Need to reduce your pores?Need smoother skin?
Apply egg whites to your face and neck. Leave on for 15 mins. Rinse, or remove with wet wash cloth, dry and moisturize. Do this once a week!

Pomegranate..

Pomegranate recipe:
1 pomegrante and 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt. Put in blender or food processor and mix and apply to face. Leave on for 15 minutes and wipe off gently, then rinse.

**This fruit is high in iron, vitamin c and antioxidants.Iron helps absorb oxygen. If your blood does not contain enough hemoglobin, you may have anemia or iron deficiency. Anemia greatly affects your overall skin texture and color. It is obvious that skin cells are nourished by blood when they carry nutrients. If blood is weak and has no sufficient hemoglobin to absorb oxygen, the skin cells will not have the required oxygen. As a result the skin will look unhealthy and having acne and wrinkles will be a problem.

LEMONS

LEMONS ARE GREAT TO LIGHTEN DARK SPOTS,HELPS ACNE MARKS & PREVENTS ACNE, REMOVES BLACKHEADS BY LOOSENING THEM AND IT ALSO HELPS OILY SKIN. YOU CAN ALSO USE LEMON JUICE, 2 TABLESPOONS OF SUGAR AND A TEASPOON OF HONEY. THIS MAKES A GREAT FACIAL MASK AND IT EXFOLIATES. LEAVE ON FOR 8-10 MINUTES. YOU MAY EXPERIENCE TINGLING ON THE SKIN, BUT THAT IS BECAUSE OF THE CITRUS ACID. IT IS NOT HARMFUL. JUST MAKE SURE YOU RINSE OFF MASK COMPLETELY WHEN ITS TIME TO REMOVE. NEXT TIME YOU CAN DILUTE YOUR MASK WITH A TABLESPOON OF WATER IF THE TINGLING BOTHERS YOU. LEMONS ARE LOADED WITH ANTIOXIDANTS AND SUPPORTS COLLAGEN WHICH IS VERY ESSENTIAL FOR THOSE OVER 30 YEARS OLD.

Your Hands

Frequent contact with water, chemicals, cold weather, sun, gardening, will put your hands and skin under stress that will result in mature looking hands. Skin on the hands are thin and are prone to premature aging if you do not take care of them.
What can you do one may ask?
Make sure you dry your hands, moisturize, wear gloves when gardening/washing dishes, touching chemicals, use sun screen and try these home made recipes for the hands once a week...
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp of olive oil or almond oil.If you donot have that you can use vegetable oil
Warm cup of water
1 tbsp of chamomile or sage herb
Mix ingredients
Soak hands in it for 15 minutes
When finished, dry hands. Apply a SPF rich hand moisturizer during the day and a regular hand cream before bed.
Do this hand treatment once a week. Lotion twice a day as stated above.
Another tip!
Rubbing your hands with lemon will give the skin more firmness/tone. Rinsing your hands with a vinegar and water solution will help restore ph balance of the skin.
Honey and Milk is another GREAT Hand mask.
Many people use hand sanitizer, which is necessary because of germs, but don't forget to let your hands air dry after you apply sanitizer and then apply hand cream. Even if the sanitizer says that it has moisturizer in it.

Many people want to start taking care of their skin when they start to notice the problems. Such as, blackheads, wrinkles, dark circles, acne, etc.

Preventing those things before they appear will be the smart thing to do. When you try to take care of an existing problem on your skin, it will take longer to fix or minimize.

Heredity plays a big part. I use this as an example...If you know that your mother or father had dark circles, then you need to make sure you use eye cream that will help to keep dark circles away. Take a multi vitamin and eat a well balanced diet as well and include 6-8 glasses of Alkaline Water. The skin under the eyes are very thin, so the veins can show underneath the eyes. Your eyes can get puffy if you do not sleep enough, heredity, health, poor blood circulation, nutrition and allergies. When applying the eye cream and handling your eyes, make sure you are using your pinky or ring finger to apply creams. Why? Those two fingers are the lightest fingers and it won't stretch or tug on your eye. Gravity takes place fast in that area.Remember, that area is thinner than the other parts of your face. Be gentle.

Make-up can help the vein problem:
If you have veins that show under the eye area it is because that area is thin. What can you do? Apply a pink or yellow perfector/concealer. See which one works the best in minimizing those veins. Blend it, don't rub in. Be gentle. Then apply a concealer that is your skin shade or a foundation and finish it off with a mineral translucent powder to set or you can use a setting spray.

Make sure you cleanse, tone, moisturize, exfoliate, use an eye cream, use a facial mask at least once a week, eat healthy and drink plenty of water. Make sure all of your facial products are for your skin type. Their are eye creams for puffiness, dark circles, sensitive skin, wrinkles and firming. If you do not have any of those eye problems, then just buy an eye cream for normal skin so that it can just hydrate that area. Moisturizer will not absorb on the eye area. Eye cream is made especially to absorb under the thin eye area. Make sure you apply the eye cream on your temples. Home remedies such as, tea bags under the eyes do work. Make sure the tea bags are cool before applying under your eyes. You can refrigerate the tea bags after you put it inside water. Leave on eyes for 15 minutes. The caffeine in the tea gets under your skin and this minimizes puffiness. Egg Whites on your skin for 15 minutes then rinse off helps make skin firmer and less sagging.

More tips:
Put the eye cream inside the refrigerator and use with your morning and nightly skin regimen. The coolness will help with those that have puffy eyes. Stay away from steam showers. The steam can inflame the puffiness and it can become worst. I like using cold spoons for a quick puffy treatment. I put 2 spoons in the refrigerator nightly so I can use them in the morning. I apply the back of the cold spoons under my eyes until the spoons are no longer cool.

If your over 20 years old and you have not used an eye cream or if you have not had a consistent skin regimen, please start as soon as possible. Don't forget your sun screen.
The sun has an aging effect on the skin and on tattoos. You can buy a day time and night time eye cream, as you should with your face moisturizer.

You feel better about yourself when everything is taken care of and your looking and feeling good.

It may sound like a lot to do, but your worth Looking Good!

Blotchiness,Problems with Pores?

Normal/Oily Skin

1 tablespoon yeast,1 tablespoon baking soda,1 teaspoon water. About Facial Mask

There are natural masks for every type of skin. Whichever mask you use, apply it once per week on clean as can be skin. Tie your hair back or tuck it into a shower cap to keep it from getting sticky. Place a towel over your pillow to catch any drips when you lie down. These mask do their best work within 8-10 minutes and should be washed off with cool water. Prepare your mask just before you use it. Then apply to your face, lie back with your eyes closed and relax. Enjoy a few minutes of quiet time or listen to some soft music. This is a good time for relaxing or meditating.
After your mask, cleanse and moisturize(face and neck) and don't forget to apply your eye cream.

Beauty Tip

Many women and students just do not have the time to dedicate to their hair and face. Here are some helpful tips to look good while your rushing or for those that do not like wearing too much make up. This will take only five minutes or less.

For a classy and clean look, if you want to pull your hair back make sure you slick your hair back and you can buy a ponytail to add to your hair or do a messy bun. Don't just apply the hair gel or spray, apply it to slick your hair back, and then make sure you brush it so that it doesn't have that hard look. When adding a hair piece, make sure it is the same color as your natural hair. There are many hair pieces, such as a bun, a pony tail and a braid.
Don't have time to do your face? Remember to always begin by cleansing and moisturizing your face.  Now, Apply Primer to your face. If you need some coverage, but you don't want a heavy foundation, use a BB cream. Next is the bronzer or shimmer on your cheeks, and use it to contour your forehead, nose and chin area. If you don't want to wear a neutral color lipstick then just apply Chap Stick or your favorite balm or gloss. On days I like to be natural, I like lining and filling my lips with a light neutral color lip liner. It last longer than lipsticks or I wear a neutral color lip stain lipstick. Apply a light color eye shadow to your eyelid area only. Spray a setting spray or you can make your own cucumber water and put inside a travel empty spray bottle. Last but not least...apply mascara to your top lashes and with the tip of the brush, go back and forth, going across very lightly at the bottom lashes.
You’re done. A clean and classy look!

Skin that Glows

I was asked the question...How do you get that natural glow look that you see in the magazines.

You can get the glow by brushing on a light golden bronzer with a blush brush on your face. Not too much, just enough that you see the shimmer. Don't forget your Chap Stick, clear lip gloss, lip stainer or use lip liner to line and fill in your lips. When you apply lip liner on lips, it stays longer and it will be a matte look. If you want it shiny then just apply gloss on top. This time add mascara to your top eyelashes only. Use brown or black. If you have to cover up flaws, use a concealer that is your skin tone and blend or you can use Fix foundation. Apply lightly on areas needed. Blend.  For underneath the eyes and on top of cheeks, bridge of nose and on your cupid bow, go one shade lighter. My FAVORITE highlighter for those areas is by Benefit "Erase paste". I absolutely love it. It is a brightening camouflage for eyes and face. When taking pictures, it has no back flash so your face looks radiant. See picture.  There you go! Your natural glow look!

I added picture below so that you can see how the Benefit erase paste looks on my skin.
